Learning Opportunities for Volunteers
Our goal is to make sure that every volunteer receives the tools they need to be successful and to deliver the Girl Scout National Program Portfolio.
Your training as a Girl Scout volunteer will begin with your New Volunteer Orientation. You'll meet with your membership specialist or Volunteer Development Manager either individually or with a group of other new volunteers. At this training you will receive you Volunteer Essentials guide and other useful resources.
Your next step will be to complete Girl Scouts 101, an online overview of the Girl Scout organization. It explores the fundamentals of the Girl Scout program and general troop management and will help you gain an understanding of the Girl Scout mission, Promise and Law; Girl Scout Leadership Journeys and the National Program Portfolio. Throughout the year, enrichment courses are offered to help you and your girls get the most out of your girl Scout experience. these are fun, informative, hands-on classes and workshops that will teach you more about how Girl Scouts do what we do.
